PSL calculator

Turn one photo into a PSL rating. The AI calculator measures symmetry, ratios, and harmony, then shows the math behind your 1-to-10 score — not just the final number. Free, no signup.

How the PSL calculator works

A PSL rating is just a structured calculation. The tool first detects the landmarks of your face, then computes the ratios that drive perceived harmony — how symmetric the two halves are, how the upper, middle, and lower thirds balance, the width of the midface, the angle of the jaw, and the spacing of the eyes. Each of those becomes an input, and the calculator weights them into a single PSL score.

Because every component is visible, the calculator doubles as a map. Two people can both land at a 6.5 and get there for opposite reasons — one carried by symmetry, the other by a strong jawline.

Reading your calculated PSL score

On the PSL scale, most faces calculate somewhere in the 4 to 6 range, a 7 is genuinely above average, and the top of the scale is rare by design. So do not anchor on the headline number — look at the components. The lowest-scoring ratio is usually where small, real changes move the calculation the most.

Recalculate under the same lighting and angle each time, and the calculator becomes a steady gauge for tracking progress rather than a one-off verdict.

PSL calculator FAQ

What does the PSL calculator calculate?

It calculates a PSL rating from a photo by measuring facial proportions — symmetry, the vertical thirds, midface ratio, jawline angle, and eye-area spacing — and weighting them into a single 1–10 score. You see the components, not just the total.

How is the PSL score calculated from my photo?

The calculator detects facial landmarks, derives the key ratios between them, and compares those ratios against the proportions associated with higher PSL ratings. Each component contributes to the final number, so two faces with the same total can get there in different ways.

Is the PSL calculator free?

Yes. The first calculation each day is free and no account is needed. Upload a clear, front-facing photo and the calculator returns your rating and its breakdown in under a minute.

Why did my calculated score change between photos?

Angle, lighting, expression, and camera distance all shift the measured ratios. For a stable calculation, shoot front-on at eye level in soft, even light with a neutral face. Change those and the number will move — that is the input, not the calculator.
